Our participation in Hungary's Automotive Land Rally. The rally started in Eger Hungary, (about 2 hours east of Budapest).  


 

Our first day in Bavaria; Dirk and Gretel had friends Gerhart, Ingrid Hoffman and their daughter Mauuiela over that morning to greet us.

Many attendees wore traditional dirndls and lederhosen. The tent pavilion accommodates 10,000 people and was beautifully arranged and accommodated all attendees easily.

Terracing of the hill side creates areas for vineyards, roads and water drainage. This is similar to what we observed in northern Italy, but Italy's grades were actually steeper.

   
We strolled up the hill behind the hotel and took some pictures. The top left window is our hotel room.

The owner of the Hotel Garni in Spitz. He was our guide for 30 miles on our trip leaving Spitz towards Hungary. He was very proud of his Harley Davidson as his wife and two daughters own their own Harley Davidson.
