Valerie took a dose from her second
30-month supply of her mail-order supplement. She immediately exclaimed
that her throat was on fire and asked me to smell the bottle. I did, and
without hesitation, I took her and the bottle to the ER. There, tests
were run, and she was given activated charcoal to counteract any
potential toxins. We were informed that we had no way of knowing what
had happened to the supplement during its shipment. The doctors advised
us to avoid mail-order supplements altogether and to purchase from
brick-and-mortar stores in the future."
