A Car Show |
| |
|
| |
August 2017:
Valerie couldn't open packages or button her shirts anymore,
adding to her difficulties in breathing and swallowing.
In August we attended a car show at a local Church. While there
we took note of upper back massages where a chiropractor examined her and then
used some type of machine, he then confused as he felt around. He
did not perform any massage and asked Valerie to make an appointment
with his office the following week.
We
made the appointment. When I saw her X-rays my response was; Oh God
No! Days later, our primary care ordered an MRI and my fears were
confirmed. Valerie also suffering breathing and swallowing
difficulties
was ruled inoperable. |

| October 2017 |
| |
| |
| We had long
standing arrangements to fly to Germany on October 13, 2017 where we
decided to see the Neurosurgeon that operated on me in 2014. |
|
 |
| |
| Landing |
| |
| |
|
On our flight over Valerie became very disoriented. Once we landed
she became wobbly and looked at me in despair. Whereas, I should've
asked for emergency medical attention right then and there, but
foolishly did not as to not draw attention which was again stupid to worry
about such.
I finally was able to get Valerie into our rental car.
I then turned on our
Garmin with its European chip where we left the airport garage and
entered the highway and the Garmin didn't work. The Mercedes's GPS
system was in German and I couldn't get the settings to switch to
English. So, we were driving
with no bearings.
We finally found a place to pull off,
whereas I attempted to find a hotel or Guesthouse and couldn't. Valerie
asked if we could please just sleep in the car? She was hurting. I finally found
a Guesthouse, hit enter, and off we went. We arrived and checked in,
the Guesthouse remote. |

The following morning we had breakfast. As we got up to leave Valerie wasn't with me. She
went over to speak with other fellow, however
uneasy
Americans. We went up to our room where
a little while later I came down the small elevator to the lobby which was behind a steel lobby door.
The fellow Americans came through the lobby door before I had a
chance to open it where wife grabbed her heart and dropped against the steel door. She finally composed herself
and stated how lovely my wife was. Her husband's temperament was of frustration and embarrassment. We said
our pleasantries and parted ways. |

Change It Up
|
| |
Now I'm later told a security practice is to have individuals
or couples change off as they follow persons of interest. Though this scenario was likely innocent, I
couldn't take the chance as it wasn't associated with any Government,
(too sloppy). | |

A Moment Of Peace |
|
|
| |
|
I am getting ahead of
myself. We then needed money from America to pay for
Valerie's unexpected surgery. I'd locate the American consulate in
Munich as a backup route. I'd then make every attempt to get
the money transferred from America.
On the other hand, there
were friends that would readily provide the funds. Those, who had and
would stick by us like no others who cared for Valerie and noticed
my stress. The husband wanting to see if I was even capable of
smiling took
me in his
unrestored 100 year old British Humber to his local village church where "O Tannenbaum" was written. |

We made it to the Neurosurgeon. He informed us of Valerie's
symptoms before we did.
I had never observed such a step by step diagnosis breakdown in person
before. Seeing my stress he stated this is not cancer. I will fix her
and
gave us a November 7, 2017 date and we took it and let others know in America. |

| Where Are You? |
| |
| |
|
Valerie's unexpected surgery would
require paperwork to arrange fund transfers to Europe. So we
purchased a small printer / scanner and other items and
contacted the American entity that manages financial transfers.
He would ask; "Where are you? He's operating when? This hasn't
happened before".
At another guesthouse, two beautiful
ladies were suspicious, (especially when you arrive with an
office), and asked for our passports. I would also provide our
trigoot.com
website. (An alternative version of this one). The next day we encounter the most relaxed and
peaceful face on one lady who says; I read your site; “Ah “The
Pink Lady". The website had broken the ice and we were treated
as though all had known us for years. It was a show stopper
where I realized how truly powerful it was. |

A Whirlwind
|
| |
| |
|
On the day of Valerie's surgery we received a call from America and are
informed that a whirlwind of Local and International activities had
begun as soon as we stepped foot on our plane to Germany on
October 13th. (The activities are listed in chronological order on
our page:

February of 2018 - Both Hands! |
| |
|
| |
Three months after my wife had two titanium cervical discs implanted
in Germany, she was diagnosed with bilateral thumb joint
deterioration—a rare condition. I still remember a staff member’s
stunned reaction: “Both hands?!”
All because of the hell the Generic Drug Levofloxacin released on
her. To keep her thumbs
in place, she had to wear rigid shell braces. Now, I always move
fast which upsets opportunists, especially when it comes to
research—especially for her. Back in 2014, I’d confirmed that
Germany was leading innovation in spinal implants. An ER physician
told us then, “Most cutting-edge medical devices come from Germany.”
While researching thumb implants, I found something surprising: the
U.S. was ahead. I found a titanium thumb implant I trusted and
scheduled a consultation. Strangely, the surgeon recommended we look
to Europe. I pushed back: “No, America’s is ahead in thumb implants.
I called the manufacturer directly. They connected us with a
specialist in Raleigh, North Carolina. The surgeon was stunned.“You
contacted the manufacturer yourself?”I thought: Doesn’t everyone?

Realities |
| |
|
| |
A hindsight
view was that 2014 was our last "unrealized"
chance to regain our lives. Our return
to America only condemned Valerie shortly thereafter.
Our years of
Domestic Medical and Financial hardships meant to belabor us toward Non-Western Interests. As to the reasons? This is for others to discern.
If not for Western Germans guarding us like hawks where
would we have been by now?
