Platinum Properties, McDonalds & Us

Background: Rear Area 109 & 113 Platinum Drive

October of 2003: The City of Bridgeport attached a water line to Building 113 Platinum Drive's Fire Hydrant. The water was then pumped over to a gas well drilling operation which was located on property that the City of Bridgeport recently purchased from Platinum Properties per September 8, Property Deed and September 25, 2003 Purchase Agreement.

Leaning Guardrails

These two Images illustrate problematic support at the rear of the recently constructed 109 & 113 Platinum Drive.

The Leaning guardrails occur as all was held in in place by a locust post grid fence line that Platinum had used as the Development's lateral support wall. Now, the rear lot area dropped a few months later whereas an Enraged Retired City of Bridgeport Supervisor filed a United States Forestry Complaint. Whereas Platinum Properties Responded a  concrete diversion border with holes in it that defeated the purpose.

Platinum Properties, McDonalds & US

My father Frank Lacaria's home adjoined McDonalds Restaurant along U.S Route 50. Frank informed me that McDonald's was receiving  damaging drainage runoff from the upper area; 109 & 113 Platinum Drive.

He then called and asked me: Don't you pay attention? He informs me that our red barn was now taking a direct hit of drainage from Platinum Properties lot area. The first time said area had ever received drainage runoff.

Why? A drainage event had occurred, which dropped the above illustrated rear lot edge area of 109 and 113 Platinum Drive. Platinum's underground drainage junction that existed directly behind 113 Platinum Drive had ruptured when Thrasher Engineering's Lateral Support Wall gave way. Thus, the areas surface drainage was redirected onto our property area above our red barn. A red barn that took the hit, where my wife and I had to deal with it and repaint the barn.

From that point forward, Pizza Hut and McDonalds would not see 109 & 113 Platinum Drive's drainage diverted onto them until December 9, 2007 when Platinum Propertied diverted the drainage off of us and back onto them. (Covered Later).
