Questions

1. A Figurative Forest Fire - Johns Hopkins

In 1999, Johns Hopkins described my then medical condition as a forest ravaged by fire—a stark contrast to the multi-tasking achiever I once was, now feeling completely spent. Yet through sheer determination I re-emerged stronger than ever—physically surpassing even my physical condition in my twenties. The transformation left many astonished and others unsettled, struggling to grasp its almost surreal nature. One physician summed it up best, remarking that most men would have lost everything—a testament to the extraordinary journey I undertook against all odds.

2. Should Of Could Of.

Some may argue that there were missed opportunities for earlier intervention or more comprehensive investigation. Yet the reality is that navigating a landscape where various entities operate with impunity presents formidable challenges. When professionals and authorities function merely as rubber stamps, and regulatory agencies are reduced to managed nuisances, the capacity for genuine oversight erodes—complicating any meaningful exercise of Due Diligence.

3. Managing Attorneys

The term “Managing Attorneys” refers to a small subset of legal professionals whose work aligns closely with operational governmental and private interests within specific entities, rather than the broader practice of law. Whereas, a troubling pattern emerged in which regulatory and safety inquiries were repeatedly funneled back to attorneys in various capacities—revealing circular approach. The exclusion of City Planners and other Oversight Bodies raised additional Red Flags, particularly given a Company, Petroleum Development Corporation’s expressed hesitance regarding Platinum Properties. This situation underscores Managing Attorneys, who are primarily tasked with controlling narratives and information flow—resulting in intentionally fragmented communications, diminished accountability, and the obstruction of effective resolution of critical issues.

4. 1950's On American Admirations

Our close European friend’s profound admiration for America—rooted in cherished childhood encounters with American military personnel—offered a heartwarming testament to cross-cultural appreciation. His fascination with 1950s American automotive innovation reflected his often-stated awe at the remarkable achievements of a nation that has evolved in just five centuries. His family’s distinguished engineering lineage, exemplified by his father’s role in the creation of the 1950s Mercedes Gullwing and his brother’s pioneering work on the first-ever four-wheel-drive automobile, the Audi Quattro, underscored a lasting tradition of excellence.

Our other dear friend, Catholic Father Manfred—a Vatican historian, philanthropist, and true lexicon of knowledge—embodied the highest values of tolerance and diplomacy. A two-week stay in Italy during May of 2005 among such distinguished figures offered us enriching insights into cultural connection and a shared commitment to human ideals—where even West Virginia was spoken of with genuine admiration. The experience culminated in Father Manfred’s likeness being honored on a commemorative Austrian postage stamp.

5. Literal Forest Fires- Ripped Out By The Roots

During that same May 2005 trip to Italy, we found ourselves in disbelief as we called home to our youngest son, who was terrified by the chaos unfolding around him and our homestead—forests being "Ripped Out By The Roots" with bonfires blazing where the Partners were at work. Despite my efforts to reassure him, I remained unaware of the true gravity of what was happening back home. (Again, we were hit as soon as we had taken off to Europe).

Six years later, in October of 2011, a renowned professional visited our West Virginia homestead, focusing on the very area my son described as "Ripped Out By The Roots" six years earlier.

The Professional's astonished October of 2011 reaction, was followed with detailed examinations, and a report he had submitted in April 2012 to Government which revealed the presence of a Fourth Partner—shedding light on the bewildering events that had taken place.

6. Harvey - Bavaria - And Honor

By the end of 2013 I was dealing with stroke-level blood pressure and frequent lightheadedness, unaware why, eventually ascertaining that I had needed spinal surgery more than two years earlier. So, we decided to acquire the surgery that had been denied was to sell all.

Thus, on February 6, 2014 we met a Commissioner–Attorney "Harvey". Whereas, for some reason he kept making fun of my use of a cane in front of my wife and another—unaware that I had reached the point months ago of collapsing against store shelves and walls.

A few months later, during May of 2014, I'd undergo life-threatening - saving surgery in Bogen Germany for a condition that had been neglected for years. Following the procedure, we were taken to a recuperative hotel where excited locals shared that Moscow Channel One had recently aired a feature on my surgeon. In regard to such, what was intended to be my two-week hotel recovery, turned into one day, as our German friend relocated us to Bavaria. There, a decorated Bavarian Law Enforcement officer, who we had hosted at our Bridgeport WV home the previous year, had a barbecue in our honor.

Shortly afterward, our close friend remarked that those responsible for my ordeal owed me a great deal. Yet by July 2014, it became clear that my unexpected recovery had shifted our circumstances in unsettling ways. Even so, we pressed on, preparing for visitors to arrive in at our WV Home five months later. When they did, one acquaintance had a chance encounter with a notable stranger in Eastern West Virginia— who inadvertently shared insights. His subsequent question—whether anyone had ever been prosecuted for the troubling incidents unleashed upon us in 2007, which he had personally witnessed—a question answered with a disheartening No.

7. Denominator Breeched Agreements

The actions by the Developer, City, and State had devastating results via motivations to also control publicity and conceal violations—which ultimately failed to uphold the façade of societal stability. By 2011, International exams prompted Federal Interventions by April of 2012 which also led to Broader and Deeper State Wide issues coming to light. In response to the escalating crisis, management sought to “Reset The Timeline,” attempting to rewrite the narrative surrounding the damages inflicted upon the people of West Virginia.

Assistance

During February 2007 a Situation was revealed that threatened our overall homestead. Where I engaged several contractors and engineering firms—some uncertain of how to proceed. Whereas, Richard Marsh's extensive knowledge of the area proved invaluable where I drove him to 113 Platinum Drive - where he instead had me stop at Building 109 Platinum Drive. He stating 109 had been built directly over a coal seam and that Platinum Properties had destabilized the area— which was echoed by Frank Lacaria. All leading to a subsequent DOH Supervisor.

Generational Landowner - Frank Lacaria:
Frank Lacaria played a central role in locating the so-called “Lost” Cortright Mining Map, a fact already referenced elsewhere.

A DOH Supervisor:
Said DOH Supervisor led me into his office to make sure he not only provided me, but ensured I understood, that the long Lost” Cortright–Corning Mine Map did indeed exist in Charleston, West Virginia.

Richard Marsh:
Richard Marsh had once been the right hand of the late coal magnate Jim Compton. Many described Richard as the one who “fixed what others had messed up.”

Richard's Fix No Other Came Close To:

Richard designed corrective measures to address drainage damage caused by Platinum Properties, which endangered both our family’s ancestral red barn (a source of deep emotional pain for my father) and our newly constructed antique car garage. Horner Engineering reviewed Richard’s ideas and developed formal plans. We then hired a high-end commercial contractor—one whose involvement astonished Platinum's own Commercial Contractor. During the repair of our barn area, our contractor would regularly consult with Richard to ensure the work was executed precisely.

Ray M. Henderson:
In 2007, we retained West Virginia's Most Tenrued Consulting Engineer Ray M. Henderson, the Retired Head of Engineering for Consul Engineering. His previous oversight included the Cortright–Corning Deep Mine, beneath and around which the Eastpointe Mall Area had been constructed.

International Engineer / Judicial Professional:
Four years after WV Engineer Ray M. Henderson was blown off by Platinum Properties, we were joined by a multi-degreed international engineering and legal expert who also served as an arbitrator for nations. His services, valued at $5,000 per day, involved extensive area examinations and documentation of the partnered areas surrounding our property. His 50-page report was later submitted to the federal thereafter.

Summary

Before we employed the use of the International we used Local WV Experts that were ignored. Then WV State Level Expert that was ignored. We had the best of the best.

Richard Marsh’s insights and connections were instrumental in developing corrective plans that preserved our family’s ancestral barn, our new car garage, our financial stability. These efforts addressed the continuing devastation caused by the Partner’s Breached 2005 Agreement, as well as the ongoing drainage problems that had been predicted as Inevitable By Our City’s Former City Manager.

Richard’s collaborations with experienced professionals—Engineer Ray M. Henderson, the DOH Supervisor, Frank Lacaria, and a network of high-end contractors—highlighted the critical importance of having knowledgeable allies to navigate such complex challenges. Yet another year of our lives was lost in the process, and, as then and now, no one has been held accountable. Ultimately, the combined expertise of this team was crucial in averting an even greater threat to Bridgeport, West Virginia.
